E911 anyone?

How are people dealing with 911 service requirements?

Does your voip provider provide Basic 911 or Enhanced 911? Do you have to?

I'm working with a wholesale provider who doesn't provide E911 services. I have been thinking of using 911voip.ca maybe...

Are we allowed to just forward a persons call to 911 to a local 416 number for emergency services?

Some voip providers like unlimitel support E911 if you have registered your current location with them.

If you're going to handle routing the 911 yourself, I think you would likely have to know what the local access numbers are, but I'm not sure of the rules. The people on the TAUG mailing list would be able to answer that better.
