Does anyone know of a monthly service we can purchase that will accept incoming SIP requests and redirect them to an available SIP address out of a list?
We have 2 VoIP Interactive Voice Response systems in 2 cities. Each has a dedicated public IP address. We have some VoIP DIDs that can only route to a single IP address using URL forwarding. Right now a DID can terminate to one IVR, but if that IVR goes down we would like it to automatically route to the second IVR.
For example, let's say the DID is set up to route to "sip:12345@chris.failover.com" and we have 2 SIP devices with the IP addresses "123.45.6.1" and "123.45.6.2". If both those IP addresses are associated with the "chris" account at failover.com, a call to the above SIP address would route to either "12345@123.45.6.1" or "1245@123.45.6.2", depending on which device is available to accept calls.
