Following up on free PBX interfaces, this month we will see what you get when you pay for it! Keith Major will give us a tour of the interface to a commercial hosted Asterisk PBX.

This Month, Michael Jerris will be giving an introduction to the design of FreeSWITCH including its modular architecture, implemented functionality, and approach to development.

FreeSWITCH is an open source telephony platform designed to facilitate the creation of voice and chat driven products scaling from a soft-phone up to a soft-switch. It can be used as a simple switching engine, a PBX, a media gateway or a media server to host IVR applications using simple scripts or XML to control the callflow.
