The mailing list server is suffering from an extended outage. It should be back up in a day or two. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I don't know why it's so hard to find this in the help documentation; to manually break a post, you put
<!--break-->

How active is TAUG?

Submitted by spditner on January 22, 2008 - 11:48am.

The activity of a loosely knit group is obviously hard to track. We have no sales, don't take attendance at meetings, and a number of our members who are actively using Asterisk don't post.

However, here is what we do know, as of January 22nd, 2008:

There are:

  • 330 subscribed to the TAUG general discussion list
  • 240 subscribed to the TAUG business list
  • 190 registered users on the website

For mailing list activity, in postings-per-person:

  • >= 2 per month: 34
  • >= 1/mo and < 2/mo: 33
  • >= 4/yr and < 1/mo: 50

New site slowly coming together

Submitted by spditner on May 28, 2007 - 10:02pm.

Little by little, the TAUG site is coming together. Drupal is a fairly convoluted piece of software, which by itself doesn't do a whole lot, so you have to wade through 1,000's of modules to add the functionality you'd think would be part of the core.

But that was my fault, I mistook it for a complete solution. It is more like Linux, Apache, and MySQL. It's the base from which you build your portal, not the portal itself.
